Electrical apparatus testing

HV/MV testing and diagnostics to NETA, IEEE and CSA, through to a defensible test report.

Core service

Apparatus is only reliable if it is tested to recognized practice. FORWA performs HV and MV apparatus testing and diagnostics: circuit breakers (including SF6), disconnect switches, power transformers, instrument transformers (CT/VT), busbars, cables and grounding, in accordance with NETA, IEEE and CSA.

The test fleet covers the standard methods: insulation resistance (Megger), dielectric withstand (AC/DC Hi-Pot and VLF), power factor and capacitance (Doble, tan delta), sweep frequency response analysis (SFRA), turns ratio (TTR), CT/VT saturation, polarity and burden tests, contact resistance, breaker timing, and SF6 gas analysis (dew point and purity).

Each campaign ends with a clear, defensible test report.
