Full unit rehabilitation at Nova Scotia's largest hydroelectric station.
Wreck Cove generating station on Cape Breton Island is Nova Scotia's largest hydroelectric facility (212 MW). As part of a GE Vernova life extension project with Nova Scotia Power as owner, FORWA took part in the full rehabilitation of one unit. Over three years (2023–2026) and more than 7,000 cumulative hours: electrical rehabilitation (excitation transformer, UCB, CTs), construction supervision (Deputy Site Manager), rotor and stator core testing (flux loop / ELCID), with stages witnessed and approved.
